Une étude de cinq ans portant sur des patients atteints d'une maladie coronarienne a montré une diminution de 48% des crises cardiaques, des accidents vasculaires cérébraux et de la mortalité chez les patients pratiquant la Méditation Transcendantale comparativement à un groupe témoin.

Diminution de l'hypercholestérolémie

Cette étude dans Journal of Human Stress a montré que les personnes ayant un taux élevé de cholestérol et qui pratiquent la technique de la MT présentaient une diminution importante des taux de cholestérol par rapport à un groupe témoin.
